Using two (2) readings on First Hand Accounts of the Atlantic Slave Trade in Lesson 5.4, assess  the mechanisms of the Atlantic Slave Trade. What motivated Africans and  Europeans to willingly participate in it (so, i.e. I am not talking  about enslaved people here)? What motivated Africans and Europeans  (different ones, usually) to advocate for its abolition? And why did its  abolition take so long?
